Mankind has been sent in this world to undertake multifarious tasks. These tasks expose him to number of hazards which are even life threatening. Every individual must look after himself and safety of workes is the primary consideration. Therefore, things like ppe clothing and training is essential. I am an engineer by profession and keep undertaking the construction tasks. Once i, along with My team was constructing a road in hlly terrain. The dozer work was in progress along with blasting activity through explosives. We never took precationary measures and work was on without ant safety in view. Dozer operator was trying to remove the rubble made by blasting the mountainous boulders and stones. Suddenly while doing so, he quickly took dozer in that area without getting clearance from blasting party. While he was working there, a blast occur in close vacanity and a big stone fell over him due to shock of that blast. He sustained so many injuries and died on the spot. Had we taken precautions, he might have saved his life. Therefore, I Would advise all readers to please ensure safety of men first, while they undertake any task.

We Need You: It's Cleanup Time!

posted on 21 November 2011

My biggest cleanup was when a tree from the neighbor's yard fell over onto our backyard. Even working in oil tank removal services couldn't prepare me for this one. It was a dying tree, and we had some strong winds that ended up toppling it over. It doesn't seem like it would be a big job to clean it up since it was dying and much lighter than other trees would be, but it definitely was a lot of work. My neighbor at the time was sickly and could not help with any of this cleanup. My husband and I decided that this was a "family" job and that we all had to work together to take care of the mess. Therefore, we rounded up our two children and brought them with us into the backyard. My husband chopped the tree up into smaller pieces while my children and I picked up the pieces and stacked them up by our fence. We figured that someone could use the wood to burn for a fire so we didn't want to just waste it. We continued to work together until all of the remnants of the tree were cleaned up and our backyard looked normal again. This was definitely something that would have been a big job for one person, but when we all worked together it made the job more bearable. It also gave us some family time and a sense of leadership and helpfulness towards others. Whenever our children hear us say, "We need you. It's cleanup time!" they know that we all have a job to do.
